I'll be launching a Galactica site soon so that we can all hang out there too and talk about Battlestar Galactica.

What forums do you want to see on there?

It's not a full blown site, but we can work towards that.

Post your thoughts here and I'll get things moving along.

Well, there should probably be a "New Series" and "Old School" threads. General Discussions. Also? How do I get a custom icon for this forum? It's not been made terribly clear to me. And I want one.

Will you be making it as an extension of this site, or perhaps use a similar framework? That would be nice. If you keep the basic framework, it would make the transition between sites much easier for veterans here.

I too would love to set up an Early icon, if I find one, (or make one) and send it too you, could you help me out?

I'm not sure yet. Right now all I have is a forum running on open source software that I didn't write--unlike FFF.NET, where I wrote everything.

I would like a complete site one day. Mainly because I think Galactica is going to be on the air for a while and it would be nice to sort of build and grow with a series on my second go at building a fan community.

I'm a bit reluctant to commit to a whole site because I don't have enough time as it is. When I first started FFF.NET, I just got married and had a lot of time on my hand. Now I have a baby and a toddler to deal with. I'm also about to build a new house. You kinda can see where all this is headed.

But I do like Galactica a lot. And it seems a lot of other people do as well. So I would like to at least give everyone a place to hang out and just talk Galactica.

I'll try and get something up tomorrow and we'll just work from there.

You shouldn't stress about it too much. The first season is almost over (or over for us cheaters) and the speculation lull can be done with simple discussion threads. By the time the second season airs in the U.S. you will have the time to decide whether or not you want to expand.

I don't imagine Haken's talking about preventing people from discussing BG here, just that a forum dedicated to it could be fun too.

The basic four group suggestion already made sounds good to me - what puts me off most forums is when they're very big and cluttered (FFF.net is just the right size for me ).

Don't worry, you can still talk about whatever you want here. I'm just trying to give those of us who are also BSG fans a bit more room to grow.
