I haven't done this in awhile, and there's many new faces around these parts. My last 2 polls had different results, so let's get a clear-cut winner this time!

Me first, me first! I've always been an Adam Baldwin fan, back from the days of My Bodyguard. So, my vote goes to him. As for the ladies, I admire Zoe's kick-ass persona, although I really think of Kaylee's character as a real sweetheart. If I absolutely had to choose, I think it would be Zoe, only because I'm the opposite of her, and think it would be real fun to be more like her.

Favorite Male: Alan Tudyk as Wash, because I identify with him more. He is extremely competent at his job but is taken for granted most of the time. Story of my life.

Favorite Female: Depends on which scene I am watching at the time But if forced to choose, I will say Summer Glau as River. She dominates every scene she is in. The most natural actress - remember she had only one other acting part before this, as a ballerina in one ep of Angel.

I see Mal has voted so I guess that means we can participate even if we've done so in the past.

Well, I usually vote for my Simon and Kaylee, with an honorable to Maddie. But I'm gonna shake things up a bit this time.

Kaylee - I still love her. She's the heart and the sunshine and the tears of Serenity.

Mal - I know, I know, how did I get to Mal from Simon? I still love my Simon, I do. Recently I have become aware of the captain as more than just a captain. I like him. So, I change my vote from Simon to Mal.

They're all great but for guy I'm going with Mal and for female I'm going with Inara. Because those are the two characters I pay attention to most. I find I'm most interested in what happens to them. But Wash, Zoe, Jayne, and Kaylee are also fun to watch.

Hmmmm. Tricky one this.

Male: Book, I just feel he has a helluva history too him, he's cool, calm and physical : I just loved the way he shot the knee caps of that guard in war stories, and he just moves with such dignity.

Female: Zoe Her deadpan put downs are choice! and she's not all prim and sugary. Defiant, refined and strong and fiercely independent.

Inara and probably, Book.
Book because he is wise with the words he chooses and I'm very curious of his past and I think that makes him an interesting character. And Ron Glass plays him superbly.

Inara is magnificent. Her clothing is magnificent, her dialouge is magnificent, her history is magnificent. There are so many great things about the character and in any situation, she always seem to remain calm and have her emotions in check. Well at least it seems to other people. Though, I think inside Inara has all these battling emotions and struggles to keep them in check. Which I think shows a interesting character. And then Morena has nailed the part exactly right,

Simon, always my favorite, I love an intelligent man, and he's a cutie too.

Female-Difficult, I love River's complexity and her relationship with her brother. I love Kaylee's spunk and way she holds the group together (everyone loves her, I mean). Inara is mysterious and Zoe is just plain kickass.

I guess I have to vote for River.
