okay, this is just a random musing. i was watching the episode "conviction" which is the premiere for season 5 and there is a scene when lorne has to read all the employees of wolfram and hart to make sure that no one is planning to overthrow the new boss. does this make him one of the original judges for american idol? hahahaha. okay, it is not that funny.

I loved his comment about the "so-called musicals of Andrew Lloyd Weber." (episode unknown)

There were a couple of other snide but on-target reviews sprinkled throughout the show. Lorne, you win the award for most potential. He really had some of the cutest, snappiest lines.

It's hard to pin down, but I think it was late in episode 2 (one of the last 3 episodes), as he was describing the things he loved (and the things not-so-great) about this dimension.

Props to Lorne. ALW

Someone on the Buffy usenet group I used to read (before spoilers got out of hand) suggested the next series could be a Tales of the Slayers does The Outer Limits style anthology show; narrated by our favourite singing demon. The "bridge" segments would be done in a Caritas-style kareoke bar, with Lorn "reading/presenting" the stories from the demons who got up to sing.

What makes Angel good is the long-term development of the characters - anthologies don't have that :(
