The Captain in question is Dante Montana. His ship, the TULIP or Trans-Utopia Cruiseship Lines.
Percy Montana is the mechanic and Lucrecia Scott is the female ex-marine.
They are bounty hunters for a gentleman named Rudolpho DeLuna. Dante is indeed looking for his son Travis who was taken by the Raiders.
Yes, very much like Firefly but without the excellent acting and special effects.
IF you watch it, watch it with an open mind and try to see the potential in it. Had the writing been better and the director been capable enough to draw out the actors...
For the record, Micheal Pare isn't necessarily a bad actor... good roles just avoid him. With the exception of Eddy and The Cruisers.
