I've decided to give it a try, and I've started a firefly RP PBP game. It's called The Oberon, it's for non-canon characters only, and for SERIOUS roleplayers, only. Some of the rules sound a little harsh, but it's really not that bad :P

just wanted to publicly say thanks to the new members I got from this board (camel ninja, you SO rock!!! You are EXACTLY the sort of player I was hoping to attract!!!)

So, we still have some positions available - I need a mechanic, and I have room for a doctor or pilot. I also have up to 4 passenger slots available.

MercedesTroy suggested I contact you about playing in the Oberon RP.

I am currently playing in the "Adventures in GunRunning" RP here on FireFlyFans.net. I point this out so you may take a peek at my writing style. I started with Simon and picked up playing Mal a bit back. There are also several 'Interludes' I wrote for the GunRunners RP - to lead in other characters and foreshadow future events. My other ID used in the GunRunners RP is DragonFlyDirector.

We have been playing since the beginning of the year and have over 21 'Acts' - 21 threads with at least 100 posts per 'Act'.

For Oberon, the character I have in mind is named Thilda Laiohn. She is of Central American descent, with Azteca blood running in her veins. At 4' 10" she is often mistaken for a teen, especially since her primary clothing is a deep cobalt burka. Usually one can only see, through the parting in her veils, her wide clear eyes with deep dark chocolate iris'.

She is a 'Detailer' of some reknown. To those who do not know, a Detailer is one who cleans and organizies for clients. Not a meer cleaner, she can help a client organize his business as well as their home. She is very focused and adept at seeing patterns.

Sometimes, when she does speak, she seems to know very much more than she would appear to. Psychic - no ... a true observer with the uncanny ability to make connections that others may miss. Because she listens more than speaks, most pass her off as a simple-minded woman/child with an uncanny knack for organization and a phenomenal memory.
