We need to stop hoping that Firefly won't get cancelled and do something about it, It's time to get of our asses and spread the word that Firefly without any dought ROCKS!! We must tell our friends get them to tell their friends, hand out flyers ANYTHING!!! to stop it's demise. If Fox won't make an effort we have to. Otherwise after the death of Farscape the only space shows left will be the dull Enterprise, The worn out Stargate SG1 and the crappy Andromeda. We must do what we can to save the best space show since the beloved Farscape.

Actually, that's a really good idea. Fox did a half ass job promoting the show. As much as this site itself promotes the site, we should do more to pick up the slack. Perhaps someone good at photoshop or something could design some nifty posters like the ones from the Save Farscape campagain.

Be sure to visit the official Firefly site often and from as many different computers as you can.
I'm certain that web traffic at that site registers as a blip somewhere in the big Firefly scheme.

Based on my experience, if you don't want a show cancelled, find out which household owns a Nielson box and convince them to watch Firefly. In the end, that's all that matters.
So while letter writing, rallies, and things of that nature might attract media attention. The media doesn't foot the bill for the series--the advertisers do. And all that the advertisers are concerned with are the number of households and who in those households watches the series.
If 10 million people watches Firefly, but none of the Nielson households do, the show will get cancelled because to the network, there is no one watching.
The Nielson rating system, while it has its merits, is ultimately flawed in the sense that only a sampling of the television audience is used to determine what the actual television audience watches. But it's the only system the television industry has until there is a better way of taking into account every single individual who watches television.

All I'm saying is that if we generate some buzz, maybe more people will watch, including Nelson families.

Campaigning. It's the best route. Send letters to the writers, and the Fox Broadcasting Company, expressing how much we all love the show. Given enough letters, postcards, etc, they might get sick of us and just give us another season. :)
