BREAKING: U.S. tariffs on hold 30 days after Canada commits to beef up border security

Canada has agreed to deploy its $1.3 border plan and nearly 10,000 frontline personnel on the border it shares with the United States.

Quote:

OTTAWA — Canada has agreed to deploy its $1.3-billion border enhancement plan along with thousands of frontline personnel to strengthen security on the U.S. boundary in exchange for the White House pausing 25-per-cent tariffs for at least 30 days.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made the announcement on social media on Monday afternoon shortly after his second phone call of the day with U.S. President Donald Trump.

“I just had a good call with President Trump. Canada is implementing our $1.3 billion border plan — reinforcing the border with new choppers, technology and personnel, enhanced coordination with our American partners, and increased resources to stop the flow of fentanyl. Nearly 10,000 frontline personnel are and will be working on protecting the border,” he wrote.

Trudeau added that Canada will also be making new commitments to appoint a “fentanyl czar”; to list drug cartels as terrorists; and to launch a Canada-U.S. Joint Strike Force to combat organized crime, fentanyl and money laundering — promises he said will cost $200 million. Alberta Premier Danielle Smith had been calling on the federal government to appoint a “border czar” to appease the U.S. administration.

“Proposed tariffs will be paused for at least 30 days while we work together,” Trudeau added.

None of this is going the way you Lefty faggots thought that it would now is it?

We just got 20,000 troops lining up on our borders and we're not paying a dime for them.

I heard a fleeting piece of info which nobody seemed to notice.

Apparently, before Trump 47, USA had the lowest tariffs in the world.

I don't recall knowing that before.

the only people to truly to Tariffs successful are the Japanese on other people, it cut others out of their market they also had a culture of discirmination, isolationism and nationalism and they made cash, got them richer.

However a full trade war hurts the public of nations around the world

In the USA don't expect people to pull together, instead expect selfishness, they abandon stuff, panic-buying; toilet paper, panic buying by gun owners who feared tougher gun control law, New Coke led many to panic buy the original Coke, buying of eggs, 60 IQ people filling plastic bags with gasoline, panic purchasing, a typical chaotic type of herd behavior, in South Korea at least they panic purchased stuff you need...Martial Law, South Korean consumers began panic buying food, water, and other essential goods https://www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/tech/2024/12/129_387703.html

got to give him credit on the border and Mexico though, under Biden and Kamala Harris 'whipping hoax' it was a disaster
