Strickland's the main card tomorrow night at 9CST.
Just watched The Ultimate Fighter with my buddy last week. I'm going to see if he's watching the fights tomorrow night and invite myself over.

Damn... He lost in a split decision.
Strickland and Du Plessis beat the fuck out of each other though and it was a great fight to watch.
They'll be washing Strickland's blood out of that mat for the next week, and Du Plessis isn't going to be able to see out of his left eye for 3 weeks.

Home advantage with a crowd behind the Canadian
I don't watch the fights, something about all this MMA, Pride, UFC things always rubbed me the wrong way. Don't get me wrong I like contest, a good sport, fights even did some Kickboxing but something about the new sport rubbed me wrong. From day one, even before it was a thing when Wrestlers fought Boxers who fought Karate guys, even the days of vale-tudo Brazilians punching and wrestling each other on beaches and old VHS Cage Fight tapes it always had the wrong Spiritual Route or 'Way'
Arrogance and hubris are negative traits
Martial Arts typically had some kind of code or spiritual honor, respect and bowing even if you don't like the guy but the money of MMA Live tv events has ruined all that, the bushido way is not there.
I don't disagree with him on it all its how it all got delivered
He might have been correct on many points
but a wiser person knows it is unwise to go into someone's home put your feet on the Table and then dump trash on the Floor even if you feel you are making a point
There is something wrong about going across the River crossing and Bridge and Street and moving into to a New Land to make a point, while insulting all these people on their own Turf.
That said Trudeau is a disgusting pervert who set Canada backwards and people are idiots to keep voting for him.

Nah... Du Plessis is South African. The event took place in Canada, but fighters are from all over the world. I don't know enough about the MMA/UFC yet to say who was from Canada Saturday night, but I would think that somebody had to be.

Well they don't bow to each other, before or after the fights, but you should probably give it a chance if that's what bothers you. Sure... there's always some bad sportsmanship in any sport, but I saw some guys the other night bloody up the mat with each other and give each other hugs after the fight was over.
I ended up being friends with some of the guys that I fought in high school. There's something about two guys beating the hell out of each other that can bring them closer than they'll ever be with other people they've never fought before.

That's not what he did. He shit on the woke reporter and said fuck Trudeau. He was showing a lot of support for the good people of Canada, and they loved him.
I can't find a video of it on YouTube (either because of censorship, or because it was a Pay Per View event), but a huge amount of the audience was cheering "Let's Go Srickland" at several points during the fight as well as "Fuck Trudeau!"

I don't think too many people there to see those fights voted for Fidel Castro's son.

Here's a video of what Du Plessis looked like after the fight.
Like I said, it was a super close fight. I can see why Strickland thought he won the fight because he obviously did a lot more damage. But the judges do look at takedowns in a split decision too, and Strickland didn't even attempt a takedown but Du Plessis took Strickland down at least 4 times during the fight.
