Antman movies were funny, they were ok but not great for me. I know a good portrayal of 'Kang' from the Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes cartoon, it was a good toon and there are others out there it alos did 'Ultron' better than Joss but Joss gave us other stories and characters in that movie, it also made money. Antman and the Wasp Quantumania is falling fast with reviews.
Will it flop? It's rating was something like 62% it then went down to 58% and now 46% on Meta Critic. I also know Kang from the Loki tv series but I didn't pay much attention watching the show, it had a good opening a good idea for a show but it went very soap opera. In the past the Marvel Disney ESPN Fox machine was able to do damage control, they owned or had influence on lots of BigTech websites and in a way they would outright cancel or ban reviews of Black Panther or Captain Marvel and accuse people of sexism or racism or 'trolling' review but these are current reviews professional critics, Rotten Tomatoes it can not ban all these reviewers. If you think about it Marvel does not have bad guys the ones that are wrote good, villains that last the test of time.
Bad guys you have Malthusian space villain Thanos, the unnamed hidden Gangster Kingpin, Loki the trickster, Magneto in Xmen and Goblin the monster personality and psycho demonic opposite of Spider-Man.
Every single Batman movie is an epic villain but Marvel the entire cinema franchise you can count its well done villains on one hand, it does not invest in building up its bad guy story.

Marvel had decades worth of good stories that they could have told, and told well...
But they blew their wad WAY too early, and were left with nothing but political agenda bullshit in Phase 4 because nobody gives a shit about the small stories they want to tell after the Thanos snap.
Super Hero movies are going to go the way of the Western soon and Disney is going to have to find another IP to fuck up.

Look at the cast list. It's mostly white. That's all the low critics scores are about. Plus they have Evangeline Lilly in there as the Wasp, and the Lefty Critics hate her because they weren't able to successfully cancel her for her anti-Covid vax stance and her support for the Canadian Freedom Convoy last year.
The only good thing the critics seem to have to say about this one is that the black dude's Kang character is a good villain. Imagine that, huh?
Most of those critics will be laid off soon. There was a day when we were fine with just Siskel and Ebert, and most people are getting their movie reviews off of YouTube content creators these days anyhow since nobody trusts the Legacy Media critics.
Audience score is 84% right now among the verified audience who actually purchased a ticket.
Maybe Disney finally saw the writing on the wall and tapped the brakes a bit on the woke bullshit after they lost their ass in 2022 on ALL of their properties outside of Avatar and that's got the critics frothing at the mouth too.

... but I am happy to see Super Hero movies die, if that's what we're finally witnessing.
Drinker's video was really on point. It's just a bunch of cut 'n paste nonsense with special effects that keep your brain asleep while you watch another pointless "story" you've seen two dozen times before play out with zero consequences after the show is over.
And what nobody in the Media is ever reporting on is probably the most important part.
Merchandising.
Nobody is buying the toys. Not even the man-children who half the marketing budget on the toys goes to these days. Not even the LEGO stuff is selling, and that's LEGO stuff.
WorldClassBullshitters has been covering that since the early days of the terrible Disney Star Wars destruction.
Somebody should try to dig up figures of how much money that Disney/WB and the toy companies have lost with all the toys that end up at Ollie's and Dollar Tree before they hit the landfill.
