Not that there's anything wrong with that.

With the Pilot, I was afraid the promise it showed might die out quickly, the storyline derailed.
But last week's episode resolved my concerns, and I think the story arcs are progressing better than I feared.
I really liked the ep.

WOW! Someone here actually watches the show! I'm enjoying it very much so far, but I agree that this current storyline might be getting a bit long in the tooth and hopefully will be resolved soon so they can all move on to the next psycho bloodfest. I mean, the FBI agents on Criminal Minds have been doing the same thing for 15 years, and they almost always get the bad guy in just one episode. Having Michael Cudlitz as a regular cast member really adds an extra shot of humor and gravitas to the goings on. Some of Clarice's hallucinations, however, are shockingly dark and frightening. That's a reason by itself to watch.

Quote:It may be channeling a bit of "Evil" series, which is positive in my book.

I was worried about derailment of story arcs established in the Pilot, but it seems those have petered out.

I had considered starting a Gotcha List of continuity errors or gaffes not keeping with the timeframe of early 1990s.
It must be tempting to cheat and use tech like all the other genre shows, but that tech was not existing back then. Current shows solve all their cases within 1 hour by camping at their desk, glued to their phone or handheld devices. I was hoping this show had some scenes outside of the desk cubicle format.

This past Thursday I saw what must have been the 5th episode.
I was disappointed that so much time was spent during the fervent search for their missing fellow Agent just shmoozing around the desk/cubicle/coffeemaker. Kinda like action movies take time out of their life-or-death scenes to get all kissy and boink.
I noticed Agent Ecchioval had a cell phone to call Starling on her desk phone. Didn't see if it was smart phone or flip phone. Either way, was that around in the time frame 1 year after Silence of The Lambs (1991)? And I forgot if SoTL was in current time then, or a year behind.
They said the next new episode would be on 1 April.
And then last night they rebroadcast the Pilot, and also said the next new episode would be 1 April. There was mention of the first 5 episodes, so maybe they are planning to rebroadcast them all before the new episodes resume.
Eps so far:
Pilot - 13 or 14 Feb.
ep 2 - 18 Feb
Ep 3 - 25 Feb
Ep 4 - 4 Mar
Ep 5 - 11 Mar
Ep 6 - 1 April
Ep 7 - 8 April
Ep 8 - 6 May
Rebroadcast:
Pilot - 12 Mar
Ep 2 - 18 March
Ep 3 - 25 March
Ep 4 - 15 April
Ep 5 - ??
Ep 6 - 22 April
Ep 7 - 29 April

I saw Ep 2 on Thurs, had not seen it before.
I did like the story arc, better than what I had feared from the end of the Pilot.
Took me a while to recognize Novak.

Thursday night was Ep 3.
I saw Danial Kash grilling the AG.
He was Louie of the infamous Huey, Dewey, and Louie on Due South. And also Pvt Spunkmeyer in Aliens.
I was thinking this episode was going to be called Straight Shooter.
