A Big city with hotels, production industies of Electronics, Services, Banking, Farming, the industries of Lake Michigan, Mississippi River, the Ohio River, and the Wabash River, household incomes of $60,000 + but a lot of negative, people in the red into new banking debts, growth should have fixed it? Both Democrats and Republicans in the State but more Democrat than Republican, it has Tourism, Wind power ideas Biofuels, a mixed diverse people Over 20% of Illinoians speak a language other than English at home, of which Spanish is by far the most widespread, at more than 12% of the total population. A sizeable number of Polish speakers is present in the Chicago Metropolitan Area, Sports and Movies and shows and Music, many a Museum and History and Science buildings to see, Economic production all this and yet the Economy of Chicago is dying
What is “cutting back on services” more trash more rot more garbage, more junkies, that usually translates to cuts in public safety, fire fighters, police missing as wild Pittbulls eat other dogs and bite people, groups fighting the homeless every support will be slowly cut
If you have some cash, savings as support then get out now while you can?

Should have gotten out years ago if you didn't. There still might be time though.
Once the stories about how the Homeowners EAV exemption really works and that the next owners of properties will be paying substantially more taxes to live in the same place as the previous owners gets out it's going to be a lot harder to sell a property in Illinois, particularly around Chicago and Springfield.
None of this should come as a shock to anyone. The writing has been on the wall for decades. This is the inevitable fate of metropolitan areas that are run by Democrats.
