Ages ago I contacted HSX to suggest they list various members of the Firefly crew, especially as Serenity had been greenlighted.

I had an email today to let me know that Alan Tudyk will IPO next Wednesday!

Sorry Loni, should have been more specific. HSX is the Hollywood Stock Exchange, a kinda fantasy stock exchamge. You go,you register, you get given a startup amount of "money", you buy and sell stock in movies, actors etc.

Serenity the Movie has been available for a few months now (and doing nicely, thank you). None of the cast is currently available to purchase Starbonds for.

However, Alan gets listed next Wednesday, so from then you can buy stocks in him. He's not cheap, 70 bucks a share... but worth an investment to show we care.

Hi Loni. It started out as a way to show that there was interest in the movie by buying stock on a fantasy movie stock site. I'll just cut and paste some links from another post as sort of a good starting point if you are further interested.

For those of you wondering what this is all about, it is one of the guerilla marketing strategies on the fireflymovie.com site (maybe from the OB, not sure). Hopefully these previous threads will shed some light.

I'm in for 30,000 of Serenity, 10,000 in 'Versal, 5200 in Sci Fi, and sundries.

Guess I'll have to trade something to buy into the IPO....
