Anyone heard of this, it sounds interesting?

Tin Star tells the story of Jim Worth (played by Tom Roth), a former London police detective who starts a new life as a local police chief in a rural town in the Rocky Mountains with his family.

But the small community is soon overwhelmed with migrant workers from an oil refinery, followed by a wave of prostitution, drugs and organised crime.

When Jim takes action, it prompts men to unleash violent retribution on him and his family, shattering the peace of the once-peaceful idyll.

The drama, which has been commissioned by Sky, was penned by 28 Days Later writer Rowan Joffe.

Created by Kudos, the makers of Broadchurch and Humans, Tin Star will air on Sky Atlantic next year.

Since there isn't much to talk about on this one, anyone see the premiere of Lethal Weapon the series?

My kid has been bugging me to remind me to see it for weeks, and it wasn't too bad. The guy playing Riggs (Clayne Crawford) has been cloned from Kevin Kline (even has those scar tissue/moles on each side of his cheeks, oddly enough) and Johnny Depp.

We thought it was decent, but we'll see if they can keep it up...

With Jordana Brewster, I was thinking of watching, but I missed the first ep. She's also in Secrets and Lies.
Does Floriana Lima look a bit like Morena, you think? I've seen some pics that look close.
Wayans doesn't thrill me much.

Lethal Weapon was okay. Not great, but coulda been a lot worse.
I'll watch more of it.

The guy playing Riggs doesn't quite pull off batsh!t crazy as well as Mel Gibson, but I guess there's a reason for that.

HAH! Yeah they really got someone who knew all about that the first time around, didn't they?

Sorry, I don't pay much attention to the gals...

I think Wayans is a decent enough pick, though I will say he seems like a watered down caricature of Murtaugh. But they made Murtaugh seem like a dumb-ass, so now they have to go too far the other way...

I don't recall Glover playing a dumb-ass, just a very cautious, about-to-retire and risk-averse detective. Maybe not as street-wise as Riggs, but not a dumb-ass. As with many who are aged (or seasoned) enough to be retirement-eligible, they are not as hip or youth-relevant as their younger, less experienced partners/peers.
There are a number of careers in which the phrase "old or bold, but not both" pertains, and Law Enforcement may be one.

Compared to Riggs, Murtaugh was a slow boat. Watch 'em again.

Compared to Riggs, everybody was a slow boat. That's why nobody caught the bad guys as fast as Riggs.
One of my favorite deleted scenes was from Lethal Weapon, when Riggs takes over the hostage negotiation.
