Saw the opening episode last night.
I got the feeling of some Cabin in the Woods, but more of The Village.
Seems to be some brainwashing going on.
Normally not a huge fan of Dillon, but he seems to fit this role well, so far.
I did not see Sioban Fallon, although her name was in the beginning credits. Did anybody else see her?

I thought I'd wait until the 2nd episode to tell everyone what I think of it, (like you people care what I think) I LOVE IT!! M may have hit a home run here.

I did find Sioban, the receptionist for the Sheriff. Missed that scene the first time.
I'm also getting a vibe from Hunger Games, besides Cabin in the Woods. Not as much Truman Show.

So far it seems like a prison with time travel, I hope it doesn't disappoint.

I swear this story has been done already, or one very nearly like it. A small town, where no one could leave, and they didn't know how they got there, and they all realize they were characters in a story or some such, and none of what they knew was real ? Tell me I'm not the only one who saw this. Can't remember the name of that one.

Every 3rd "Twilight Zone" episode? I have faith in this one, they may throw us a curve. This and "The Last Ship" are the only shows I've been looking forward to this summer.

Some of them do know.
Some of them are brainwashed.
Some of them are the enforcers.
Big vibe of mass hysteria, mob lynching mentality.

Ya know, it may have been a Twilight Zone episode. One of the newer ones ? I may never figure this one out. Not all that important.
I wanted to like The Last Ship. Had a certain appeal. Oh, and Adam. But I just couldn't stay w/ it. I had to get off that boat.
( see what I did there ?
)

I was wondering if you had a specific show in mind, like maybe Once Upon a Time.
Maybe a summary list of comparable shows of Wayward Pines would help.
Hunger Games
Cabin in the Woods.
Truman Show
The Village
Twin Peaks

I wanna say it was late 90's or possibly early 2000's. That's why I mentioned The Lost Room. Either Sci-Fi or some similar type of short story. There abouts or before, I believe. It was definitely a small town , in the country or woods, where no one could leave, or remember anything but what went on in the town. It was like they were characters in a story, and only one of them realized it, and that they weren't actually " real ".
