Mal: Bad in the latin, but good in the life altering quotes

Well, here's a list of ten Mal quotes that could be considered for life lessons. I only pulled from about half the episodes, so odds are i could'a made this list longer, but here y'are.

1. That's what governments are for. Get in a man's way.

4. I do the job. I get paid. And that's all.
5. If I ever kill you, you'll be awake, you'll be facing me, and you'll be armed.

8. It's my estimation that every man ever got a'statue made of him was one kind of sommbitch or another. Ain't about you, Jayne. 'Bout what they need.

All of those are good, but I got a few of m'own to add:
1. If people get nosy, shoot 'em... politely (the last bit is important).
2. Everyone having the advantage over you makes you special.
3. Getting paranoid and crotchety is a sign of space dementia.
4. Hitting a man with a closed fist is, on occasion hilarious.
5. It's a real burden being right so often.
6. Moribid and creepifying, I got no problem with.
7. When dealin' with Alliance boys, 'sanguine' covers all possibilites.
8. Whoa. Good Bible.
9. Looks can be deceiving.
10. (Might not be exact, but...) Anything you do to my crew, you do to me.

It's something I would have loved to have said to my ex-supervisor.

You're absolutely right. I was gonna use that one, but I hit 10 before I picked up that episode's script. So it didn't make it in.

Personally, my favorite Mal-ism is in the exact mid-point, after opening River's stasis-pod-thing, and he simply says "... huh..."

That's become part of my family's lingo lately.

Unfortunately, they didn't have Firefly back in the 1st Century A.D. Canaan, but I'm sure it features heavily on the broadcasts up in Heaven, so I wouldn't be the least suprised if Jesus was a Browncoat...
I wonder what they make of the Chinese 'Holy Mother of God and all her wacky nephews' statement, though?
