Everybody always gets excited about a new Doctor.
I'll get excited when someone replaces Steven Moffat.

Well, he wrote some very good individual and two-part episodes during Seasons 1-4, but I've been disappointed with the way he has handled the show since he became the executive producer. His season-long story arcs have been convoluted and confusing, with superficial denouements.
And now with the first episode of Season 8 he seems to have developed selective amnesia. Why would Clara be confused by the Doctor's regeneration? He changed right in front of her, and she had already seen every incarnation of him throughout his history, and possibly versions of him in the future, when she entered his time-stream in "The Name of the Doctor." Why would Madame Vastra have to explain it to her?

Right. She's the Impossible Girl. And who the hell else knows that about her except #11 and herself ?
And while I appreciate that she misses " her " Doctor, it's not as though she was caught off guard, and had no idea this is how things work for the Time Lords.
Speaking of 'The Name of the Doctor' , if she were there at the very start, when the 1st Doctor stole the malfunctioning TARDIS, does that make her a Time Lord too ?
Oh, and I have other questions about last night's episode as well, but I'll hold for now.
