Saw it.

Matrix / Terminator meets Independence Day.

I guess it was better than Battlefield Earth. I mean, the tech stuff was kinda cool.

But, in the end, I'm glad I didn't bother w/ seeing it in the theatre.

Decent movie, but not a fully functional script. It was a Twilight Zone episode with high level FX. I could have done without the whole wife thing, it was poorly set up and so predictable.

The tech stuff was kinda cool, but the story needed work (that's where the script failed for me).

I've watched it a few times on HBO this month and I do like it. It has a lot going for it, and I think it's one of the best sci-fi films I've seen since Serenity.

Really. In all that time, none of the 'team' members intentionally or randomly crossed paths with each other ? And other stuff too, but all in all, it still wasn't as bad as B.E. This movie was watchable.

I liked it. Saw it at the theater. Definitely to be added to my BR collection.

In termz uv doomzday storyz, its gotta be a contender for #1 bleakest, rite up there with The Road.

I can't remember if this was discussed last year when the movie came out. I did see it in the theater, and even though it was matinee price, I felt ripped off. Great special effects, and even decent acting, does not necessarily equate to a good film.

The team members were only supposed to cover a particular area and were forbidden to go beyond a certain point. The scenario was suggestive of Adam and Eve in the garden of eden, destined to repopulate the barren earth.

As I remember it, the "teams" were clones of the flight crew of humans. If the aliens are so advanced then why wouldn't they program them to obey and not venture beyond the designated area?

Just one of many questions!

itunes rental on a weekend when there wasn't much else as an option..figured they woulda spent some $ on Cruse so it might be worth my time.

I found myself expanding the story, as if I were reading the book, as I watch the movie so at the end of the 2 hours I felt pretty satisfied with it all.

I'll likely add it to my library once it hits that $9 walmart sale mark... I liked it

I found it hugely derivative, but it was pretty, and entertaining enough as a rental.

I have to admit, I wandered in and out of some scenes, so the part where it must have explained about the other 'team', I may have missed. I only caught the part where they first encountered each other.

As I understand it, the original essence of "Jack" survived the cloning process, and eventually took time to come to the surface of his conscience. Once that happened, he was 'himself' again.
