Yep. For reals. At least, that's what her name tag read.. 'Eowyn'.

Cute thing, she was.

Though I'm not sure she was actually FROM Rohan.

How cute! I wonder if the little Arwens all grew up. We even had an Arwen kitty.

Please forgive typos for the next couple of months. I had eye surgery a few months back and we need to let it cook a while before I get corrective lenses. I am often nose-to-screen trying to figure out what I've written, then sometimes remember I can use CTRL and the mouse-wheel to re-size. Or I don't, and the mess multiplies. Heh.

I really wanted to say something, but I was in a hurry, I'm sure she's heard it a time or two, and the last thing she probably needed was some Tolkien fan once again telling her " Hey, did you know there's a Eowyn in LoTR ? " .

I just smiled, and went on my way.

I know a girl named Arwen. Not a cute creature that one. I'm guessing the parents nerdy enough to use that name were not the most beautiful specimens.

Unfortunate. I mean, how can ya tell, when you name a kid, what they'll turn out as? And tagging them w/ a name like Arwen or Eowyn, that's a lot to live up to. At least, those who are in the know, Tolkien wise.

I'm guessing there aren't too many Galadriels running about.

Although she surely has heard about LoTR, I still would have mentioned "cool name" or similar. Young women should get more compliments than they do, so "Cool hair" or whatever never seems to hurt.
