Maybe I should write some fanfiction. I have never dabbled in the art but for Firefly...perhaps I might one day.

Very interesting article. I'm glad Joss is supportive of fanfic and has come right out and said so. It definately gives a different feel to the fandom when such people do so: not so much that fans are being 'allowed' to do things but almost like they're 'authorised'. Probably one of the kindest things a TV/Film/Book writer/creator can do outside of actually creating the story in the first place... :D
