Hello there! I am a long time watcher of firefly, but I just found out about the online community! (I am super late to the party, per usual) I was hoping to connect with people in my area over a mutual love of firefly, but also more specifically I am hoping someone will be kind enough to show me the ropes of the firefly fan community.

I have been involved in the buffy fancommunity through tumblr for quite a while, but it doesn't seem to me that firefly has quite as much of a connected tumblr base (at least from what I have been able to find). and I was hoping to make some new friends! I have been scoping out this website and keep seeing terms thrown around like 'browncoat chapter', ect. I also see that many people put together events and meet and greets for different areas and I was wondering how to get involved.
