Just asking any Houston, TX Browncoats to register at FF meetup and vote for a venue, cause there’s only 5 Houston members and I know there is more Browncoats here than that. (Just in case you wanted to know I voted for the Barnes & Noble)
I got an idea for a shindig here in Houston and I want to run it by some other Browncoats, ya know face to face like

I am on campus at UH. I am registered at meetup under the name jwcooper for Houston. I think I was the only one to vote for the meetup last month. Lets try to find a few others in the area.

well we are still voting, so the where is still up for grabs for this month (though the Alamo Drafthouse is in the lead w/3 votes), but the when is the first of the month every month.

I'm not so much in Houston, as I am in Dallas, but all my family is in Houston and I go back their on occasion when they get all whiny.

Glad to hear Houston gets its own Shindig (may it have many more), but I was wondering if a better idea might not be, do it someplace where you can watch an episode or two?

But then, I don't actually know anything, I'm just here for the food.

You are very welcome, but I made a bit of a mistake.
The meetups are every 1st Saturday of the month, not every 1st of the month, but everything esle I told you was right.

Over at the OB we were thinking about having a mini shindig/BBQ on the 3rd of July, which is the first Sat. of the month, but since it is so close to a holiday, meetup.com has rescheduled the meetup for the 10th of July.
