OK. I'm watching the first season of Justified, and the actress who plays Rachel Brooks, Erica Tazel, is the same actress who played Doralee in the Firefly episode "Safe".
You've probably already recognized her, but I'm doing a little "high five" here in my living room for spotting her.

From burning witches at the stake, to shooting brothers for the State...

That's what I liked about FF -- it's a Patriot show not a Cop show.
But I do watch Justified religiously. Sort of like Joss, making you like the bad guys who turn out to be good guys who turn out to be bad guys.

Cool. I dig the hell out of Justified, but I hadn't pegged her as Whedon alumni.
"I thoroughly disapprove of duels. If a man should challenge me, I would take him kindly and forgivingly by the hand and lead him to a quiet place and kill him."

Raylan reminds me of Mal. I think if Mal had become a lawman instead of going lawless, he'd have turned out a lot like Raylan.

I just noticed another "Firefly" alum. Steven Flynn, who played the salvage captain who shot Mal in the episode "Out of Gas" plays Emmitt Arnett in the episode "Hatless", which was first season, episode 9.

Add this to the list of supposedly really good shows that I've not had a chance to yet see.
" I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend. "

Cross between Sopranos and Sons of Anarchy. Every character is a hired killer, or kills for expediency.
Remind me to stay out of Harlan KY.
