episode "The Message"/funnystuff?/Eastereggs?

I consider myself a Firefly FLF (fiercely loyal fan) but I just had to laugh while re-watching this one today. I always turn on the english sub-tltles, since my husband is deaf in one ear and can't hear out of the other. Just around the time Mal shoots Tracey, Tracey shouts "Gorram it Mal!" but the subtitle says, "You're a rabbit Mal!" I am still laughing.

My point being, has anyone else found stuff like this? Or perhaps more Easter eggs? I only know about the one on Disc 4 (even though I have never been able to find it myself--computer idiot, dontcha know)

Yeah, I started a thread a week or so ago about the captions, and the "You're a rabbit, Mal" line was one I mentioned. There are quite a few other lines that were not transcribed correctly, as others also pointed out.

As for the easter egg, as far as I know there is only one, Adam Baldwin singing "Hero of Canton." To access it, go to the Special Features second page, scroll down to "Joss Sings the Firefly Theme" but instead of pushing your enter button on that one, push the left button and you will see the graphic design at the left center of the screen highlight. Push your enter button then...and enjoy.

I just watched the easter egg again and for the first time noticed Adam got the lyric wrong the first time around.

It's supposed to be:

"Our love for him now ain't hard to explain"

but in the first verse he sings "our love for him now is hard to explain." He got it right on all the other verses though.

Maybe it was that hat constricting blood to his head

. But yeah, hmm....I've yet to see something like the subtitles in The Message which fluff up the line so completely
