The first part of 'Here Be Dragons' has just been posted. It is a sequel to 'Wolf-Pack' which was itself a sequel to the 'Death or Glory' Sequence

I offer special thanks to my new Proof-Reader Landry whos help will curb the gorram awful grammatical and punctuation errors that were a feature of my earlier FanFics

Here's hoping you enjoy it

EDITED TO ADD TRIVIA - With this Fic the overall story has now hit the Hundred-Thousand Word mark!

Had somehow missed this forum -- guess not everyone posts about their fics on it. Good job -- looking forward to the fight scenes:) Going to be interesting seeing Cally and her mom confined in a bunker w/ all the religious nuts too.

One question just out of curiosity --- all the technobabble about Shadow's reactor, is it just so much babble or did you do the research? Not criticizing!! Just curious - can't drag the specifics from pchem out of my brain since i never never use it!:)

Shadow's reactor is a Fusion Tokamak which is based on current designs (I read up mildly on JET the Joint European Torus research project). Just a Tritium/Deuterium plasma held in a magnetic field so it doesn't eat it's own casing

If you mean the afterburner yes it's fairly sound physics AFAIK. Actually that's kinda how an H-Bomb works apparently with the radiation from the fission device at the core turning the Lithium-Deuteride around it into D/T mix when it lights off (this is all public domain knowledge. It's not the scientific principles that make nukes hard to manufacture it's the engineering and getting the parts)

I read about the notion of a Fusion "afterburner" that works like this in a piece of sci-fi years ago but cannot remember the book. It was such a shiny notion I had to resurrect it and "borrow" it for Shadow. A thermonuclear drive with "reheat" is just too cool for school

You will find no "Heisenberg Compensators" or such in my Fics though. I'm a Hard S/F Fan

Don't ask about the practical details though I studied Philosophy and Political Science at University not Physics or Engineering
