A Viacom source tells SyFy Portal that UPN is reportedly going to say no to bringing the series over from The WB, putting the final nail in the coffin for the series.
"The show is just too far in its lifespan to really make decent money on it," the source said. "It was a mistake for UPN to grab 'Buffy' so late, and it ended up costing (the network) money. 'Roswell' is another example of how it just isn't feasible for UPN at this time."
"Two roads diverged in a wood, and I took the road less traveled by and they CANCELLED MY FRIKKIN' SHOW. I totally shoulda took the road that had all those people on it. Damn." --Joss

Well, since Joss is busy with Serenity, maybe its a good thing Angel is going for now. After all, its obvious Joss couldnt be involved with Angel due to his commitments to Serenity. Hopefully Serenity will make buckets of money, and then 'Versal might be game to an Angel or Buffy movie. This could be win-win for allo fus and Joss too!
Can't take the sky from me...Oh wait, Fox did... Newsflash! Univeral just gave it back! SHINY!

This is sickening. A show that's good enough to actually last 10 years gets cut off in midlife because it's only bringing in a lot of money, not an obscene amount of money.
I cannot believe this is the end of Spike and Lorne. I don't know why, but those two characters are so vivid, cool and different. I feel like Spike especially is such a work in progress. Now with his decision not to work overseas at a branch W&H, he's really becoming a hero. I love those precious few moments when he is sincere.
"Why're you arguin' what's already been decided?"
