Just looked up New Movie prospects for the first ! half of 2010... somebody wake me up in 2011, please!
You can tell that men are casting all the leading male roles- uncharismatic, aging, bland, been there done that, cut rate for a crappy economy actors. Hollywierd quit cueing up the same boring rehashed stuff, TRY SOMETHING NEW! I yearn for new blood...
We usually like Shrek stuff at my house but even that looks like a Make-Men-Celebrate-Mediocrity-Fest-in-a-"listen-to-your-mother"-Condescending-Sorta-Way...
God, I hope I'm wrong.
Also, they made a live action version of Avatar- "The Last Airbender" which I'm bettin' will most likely mutilate a quirky and fun series.
Okay, so I don't wanna hear about hear about Tweeny Twilights or Harry Ploppers, I know those fans are spanking themselves right now in anticipation, I get it. Otherwise, go ahead and convince me I'm wrong! C'mon, I got my big girl panties on, I can take it...

Honestly, it depends what you're into, but if you like the great indie comedy/dramas, then you won't know what to look forward to until a month or so beforehand, when the marketing campaign hits. There'll be plenty to see, I'm sure of it. 500 Days of Summer and Brothers Bloom were recent examples of this. I had no idea about them until a few months ago, and saw them, and absolutely loved them.

I agree with Big Richard - depends on what you're into. For Fantasy/non-sci-fi Fiction fans 2010 has a lot of potential (execution could be an entirely different matter). Ones that haven't been mentioned yet are:

I think he meant the movie, 2010: The Year We Make Contact.
It did have some serious issues. Still, I kinda like it. It's not near up to the standards set by 2001, but it's entertaining...
As for The List, these are the ones that look interesting to me:
Iron Man 2 (it's not like I expect much out of it, but the first one was quite entertaining, so I'll have a look)

I've been interested in Alice in Wonderland ever since I heard Alan Rickman'd be playing the hookah-smoking caterpillar.
Nightmare on Elm Street I'm iffy on. A Freddy that isn't Robert Englund just does /not/ sound like it's going to work to me.
I'm VERY damn excited over Predators. It's about time we got to see ass-kicking Predators that weren't losing all over the place to xenomorphs just because the plot wants to make sure the idiot-audience knows HEY, DOSE POINTY AMINALS IS HURTY!
Tron and the Green Hornet I'm kind of curious about, but not really excited about.

Yep. Elijah Wood is doing the voice of Spyro.
Gary Oldman is doing a voice too, and he's awesome.

I thought the same, but Jackie Earle Haley is pretty damn good in everything so far, so I'll probably give him a chance.
And NEVER go into a Roland Emmerich (2012, Day After Tomorrow, Independence Day, 10000BC) film expecting a great story. It's just gonna disappoint.

All's I'm sayin' is a good 90% of next years movie's look like Manly man man movies written by men for men>>> gags on the testosterone! Sorry, I don't have enough crow's feet and I'm just not pretentious enough to be into Sex2 -or 1 for that matter. And what's up with all the sequels and re-hashing?

The reason there are more of those is that generally, they do better, and they're more likely to succeed even without story, etc, so they can be churned out easier.
Remakes are always popular because it's easy to rehash old stuff than come up with new and interesting ideas. Same with sequels. All the characters and stuff are set up, so it requires less effort in development and marketing. A sequel has a legion of fans already.

Honestly, I think you can rest assured that as 2010 goes by, you'll realise there is lots to see that you hadn't seen/heard about before. Just wait and see.
