It's still on, like 15 hours till 3:30 am EST.

Pretty good. Guess I missed the original while stationed in England.

V for Visitors. Independence Day really ripped em off too. Is this re-edited with new CGI?

This was an awesome series when it came out. I remember being scared to death the first time they showed Diana eating the rodent. Not to mention when they showed the lizard hybrid.

Now, by today's standards, pretty cheesy special effects, right down to their ripping off Star Trek medical sound effets. But all in all, a great jaunt down memory lane.

Oh, and not just ID4, but also "Alien Nation" (Movie and TV Series) with the rip-offs. But since V had it's fair share, who's gonna gripe?

awesome...? kidding right..?

I did watch some of this back in the 80's - hey, it was sci-fi after all - but I couldn't say it was awesome.

That said - i did watch a lot of the marathon yesterday and now I remember how really bad it was - i mean, good idea, bad acting.

and the hybrid? the baby right? I was laughing so hard i accidently changed channels... (and did not go back)

It's easy to watch it now and say, "My god, that is some horrible stuff!"

However, watching it when it premiered, when I was 11 years old? Yes, it was awesome. For it's time.

If you think this show was horrible, then you must not have enjoyed Star Wars when it came out. That is, IF you were around when it premiered. Some of the CGI was just as bad (by today's standards).

So yes, I stand by exactly what I said in my previous post. I thought it was awesome and scary, right down to the hybrid. "Thought" being the operative word here. Do I STILL think it is? No, but I am having fun walking down memory lane and remembering it from when I was a kid.
