I don't know why, but this thought just popped into my head? Could Rick Deckard be a regular series kinda guy? Could tracking "skin jobs" hold viewers week in and week out?

There actually was a Blade Runner series. It was actually called Total Recall 2070, but had more in common with Blade Runner than Total Recall. It wasn't very good.

If it was done right, it would be pretty amazing sci-fi to tune into each week. There are so many different directions the series could go. I'd watch it, and buy it on Blu-Ray.

It definitely could be a series and a very good one if handled well.. Like TSCC it should not be "replicant of the week", cause that would be boring as hell.. Doesn´t have to be Deckard though.. Could have someone track a team of replicants over a season and slowly discovering things about himself, like the ambiguity in Blade Runner as to wether Deckards a replicant himself. Even though it´s clear in the book that he´s not but still

There ya go - that's more the kind of thing I was envisioning. Something more spiritually akin to "Angel" than to Total Recall. Blade Runner teams tracking skin jobs, learning more and more about each other and what it means to be "human", and who qualifies and how. Cops who don't know if they're real or not, replicants who don't know if THEY'RE real or not, etc. It's a search for humanity, a search for purpose and redemption, and we SHOULD ask hard questions about these things.

I was going to post that myself.

I believe the producers said at the time they wanted to make a BR series, but could only get the rights to Total Recall.

And yeah, it wasn't very good.

I respectfully disagree. Definitely a merger of Blade Runner and TR, but the production quality and script was surprisingly good. For Canadian.
