I have to say that what I like most about the new Enterprise was the interior. Mainly, the engine room. I mean, it was big, there were pipes everywhere with wires and control panels. It was a real engine room! I'm in the Navy and it made me think of an actual engine room on a ship. That was the best part for me.

I think I mentioned before that I did like this new design from the get-go. I've had no problems with it at all.

And before you yell at me, Chris, . . . NO! I was never a HUGE Trekkie, but I always did enjoy most incarnations of Trek. I've honestly never worried about nacells and whatnot. That was all secondary (perhaps even way further down the list than that) to the stories themselves.

As an update of an series originally conceived in the 60's . . . they did an excellent job, IMO.
