This is driving me nuts!
I'd LOVE to see the laid-back Wash portray a pyscho villain!

It's finally been confirmed via a leaked photo that Alan is in Dollhouse.

It's finally on his IMDB page and Wiki page.

However the episode listing for Dollhouse on Wiki states the following for episode 11;

Ballard's investigation leads him to the agoraphobic designer of the Dollhouse (guest star Alan Tudyk); Echo helps a young girl deal with her traumatic past; Adelle goes to the Attic in search of answers; and Alpha reveals himself to set his end game in motion.

And the following for episode 12;

The Alpha's reign of terror continues as his obsession with Echo endangers Caroline's survival; Ballard must make a life-changing decision; and one Doll is permanently deactivated while another's shocking past is revealed.

It would suck if Alan's character turned out to be someone else.

Unless some other Whedon alumn played the role.

Just the fact that Alan is in it anywhere is cause for delight for me! I am so enjoying this show and it's really winding up to be exciting now.

I look forward to the next couple of eps and all the mysteries and goodies we're getting.

After a bit of a slow start, the layers are slowly being peeled back.

And I know Alan will do a fantastic job no matter what kind of role he has. He can be sweet and goofy (Wash) or he can be terrifying as his portrayal of a pedophile on CSI showed. He was totally convincing.

The first time I read this synopsis, I assumed that at the end of episode 11 it would be revealed that Alpha was pretending to the the Dollhouse's designer. It could be this or Alan's "casting as Alpha" was leaked as some ploy to throw us off. (Because if anything, Joss is crafty!) Of course, anyone who has seen Alan's guest spot on CSI knows that he can play a downright creepy character. Either way, I'm really looking forward to seeing how the next few eppys are going to play out.

True.

However Alpha was obviously unconventional.

Perhaps his older and more experienced mind was more difficult to map and wipe.

Or maybe Joss just really wanted Alan to be the bad guy.
