NASA is considering a compromise wherein they name one of the space toilets "Colbert." I like the way they think.

"Come on, Serenity?" Stephen Colbert said on his March 10 show. "That's not a space module, that's a Glade plug-in."
GGGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!! How DARE he!!!!
He should get a toilet named after him...that hundan!

Real Browncoat humor. I hope they follow through. Maybe "Colbert" will become a synonym, at least among spacefaring folk, for the "toilet".

Colbert Crapper has such a nice ring to it, too XD

So, would the common expression be
" I'll be in the Colbert, so don't bother me "
or
" Man, I really need to take a Colbert! Hurry up! "
"As much as I respect what he's doing, really the economy is something he should focus on more than the brackets. "

What better way for Colbert to pretend to have conservative values than such an impressive endorsement of trickle-down economics? Good thinking, Whozit.

Hello,
I must be in the minority here.
I enjoy the Colbert Report, and himself as a comedian. I do not feel threatened or insulted that he wants to name the space station module after himself. Nor am I appalled that he had his fans vote for it.
I am also not insulted that he compared Serenity to a Glade Plug-In, considering what alternative product is actually called Serenity: http://walmart.triaddigital.com/enhancedrendercontent_ektid31030.aspx
And I'm sure if he gets a toilet named after him, he will be the first to joke about it.
The most important thing, though, is that he's bringing many eyes to NASA and space exploration and habitation. He's making people care who otherwise wouldn't.
Three cheers, says I.

P.S. I'd much prefer to see a space vehicle named Serenity, not a gorram living room and waste recycling center.

Hey, Anthony, I like Colbert, too (though not as much as Jon Stewart and crew at The Daily Show), and if his antics really are getting people excited about NASA, that's great. But I think it would be a fitting choice to slam his egotistical TV personality, and it would keep him focused on NASA for at least one more show.
At any rate, you agree at least that the idea of naming a space toilet after Colbert is funny, right?

Hello,
Well... less funny and more hilarious, actually. ;-)

I'm not a real fan of his comedy style, but not because of this. I really don't mind this, and I agree about the actual space vessel.

Yeah, okay, that's all fine and good, except...I hate to break it to y'all...but, there's two ways in which Colbert's show differs from everything Joss has done except Firefly....
1) People watch it.
2) It doesn't suck.
yeah, so. . .yeah. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

And very much a Browncoat.
We can celebrate the general silliness with a quip-fest, can't we?
