People in the thread think it is good numbers for Aussieland and the time of year and day that it was on.

For those wondering, those numbers are terrific.

To put that in perspective for you all, the best ratings show in the country averaged just over a million last year... For a sci-fi movie that is 4 years old to get 800,000+...Channel 10 will be ecstatic.

The movie was shown on a Monday night, which happened to be 'Australia Day' and what better thing for aussies to watch than few convicts stand up against unbeatable odds!

Firefly/Serenity is much loved by everyone who lays eyes on it down here.

Expect many fresh faces after people who see the movie go through the same stages I went through..

Stage 1: `Shit, that was brilliant!' *Goes to internet to learn everything he can about a possible sequel*
Stage 2: Finds firefly, watches, falls in love.
Stage 3: *Watches Serenity again... ``That was even better the second time! How could he kill Wash AND Book''
Stage 4: Decides that future serenity and firefly is his/her life's mission.

Damn you fox...
