As I understand it, Arnold is really in a no win situation...

To increase taxes he would need the voters to approve a tax increase or a levy, which they shot down

or to decrease services to save money, he once again needs voter approval, which they also shot down.

He is presently trying to sell real estate owned by the state in order to cover the difference, but who is making big real estate purchases in this economy?

I suppose the thing for him to do if he wanted to be president is to cut and run, resign in the middle of his term and leave his deputy to take the blame for the mess left behind........
