I like how that article bills it as "the first gay superhero," completely disregarding all the other gay superheroes. Guess no one ever heard of Batman and Robin? Or, less sarcastic, Stormwatch and The Authority, for starters?

Also, Northstar of Alpha Flight was written as gay by Byrne in '83, though Northsatar didn't actually state it as fact until Alpha Flight #106, published in 1992.
