Morning all!

Nice new digs I see. Been extremely busy the last 2 weeks or so so I have been AWOL (alot of stuff at work and no internets at home cuz I am recarpeting the entire house so almost everything I own is boxed up). Hope everyone is doing good!

Ok first week of school sucks...sooo tired

Of course a lot of the tired is the super weekend of paintballthis past weekend. NV was incredible and I even got to go on the field to take pics, but it was 107 and 105 degrees and we were outside from about 8 am to about 6-8 pm each day...

I had to call 911 to find out that my own father had not in fact taken off on a spur of the moment vacation without telling anyone, but instead had been in the hospital for five days, the last two in ICU.

Funny, you'd think someone there might have had a flash of insight and actually tried to contact his family, mightn't you...

Hey RIMG! Long time no see! Hope all is well in your world Bud.

It is good to know that someone is keeping a close eye on that Twin of mine. She is such a trouble maker and needs babysitting!

The Carpet is finished now and we are debating what to unpack and also taking a mini vacation of sorts so I still only have access from work atm but I am surviving.

We are trying to figure out what to get rid of too. We are such pack rats that when we packed up and moved all we could in the basement we realized how much extra room we would have with out a lot of it so who knows, e-bay or a real garage sale might be in our future!

Did a little packing last night, though I got distracted a little bit, and I had some friends over, which was also distracting. I was unusually tired and went to bed early (midnight).

hey all,

tried to do maths, ended up watching the west wing, reading watchman and sleeping! Funny thing is that actually in less pain than last time and not on the weird pain killers but I am absolutely wiped.

Not helped by work going on my building's windows, which means I get sanding and people chatting, just my luck for it to happen whilst I'm stuck at home.

Still, excited about getting back in shape, have three running routes sorted for 1,2 & 3 and weights program ready, now I just need a foot!

The doctor used the word "grave" to describe my father's condition today while talking with my aunt, and that was BEFORE the CAT scan.

We're watching and waiting and that's pretty much all we can do.

Be nice to your pancreas people, or it may not be nice to you.

It's rather ironic in a "please hit me in the head with that board with the nail in it again please" kind of way that I'm a nurse and all I can do is stand there staring at an unconcious person and hold his hand.

I think we need to create a new level of irritation combined with frustration for this particular ironical situation. I'm sure it's happened to several people before.

Three day weekend! YAY! Now I have enough time to organize my humongous collection of bookmarks, clean my room, chat with all my online friends, write replies to all the people emailing me, catch up on the webcomics I've missed, figure out how to get on the google group the biology teach made will all the homework on it because the thing rejected my email address for some reason and re-do all my passwords for every account and finally writing them all down so I stop typing all the passwords I know I have for this one account that refuses to accept all my passwords despite re-setting it numerous times because it's a bitch like that and add on some stuff to this stupid assignment that I apparently missed, like, 6 questions that managed to land me a D that mom's constantly yelling at me for despite the fact that the grade in that class is still a pretty high A and that I only had those six questions that I honestly missed-

Dad's still out of it in ICU. They'll start talking vent to trach next week, this week we're still holding onto all the holes he came into the world with and none he didn't.

Teensy bits of hopefulosity creeping in at the edges, but it's still a day by day wait and see.

I have an aunt who's trying to micromanage a recovery period which may not even happen. (It's how she copes) She's going home today. I need to go do lunch with her and another aunt now.

sadly it appears not Kel, and it gets worse, only story I have to tell is the same old one about drugs not working on my stomach and sore toe although, I should point out before I get yelled at, that after coming home from my second 10 hour day at work I nearly passed out and am now working from home due to realising I was being an idiot.

Better late than never I suppose and felt better enough that I cooked a variation of my dirty rice recepie for my other half. It may not be proper cajun food but there is something magical about the combination of onions, green peppers and celery!

I eat at my desk (I bring my own lunch everyday) while I work. An as I get hungry kinda thing. But I leave for "lunch" everyday. Some times I go to the Mall and walk around or I go to some of the hiking trails just down the road and walk. Just to get up and move around along with getting out of teh office.

Gooood morning drinkers.

I tend to eat throughout the day and just kind of space out for an hour during lunch. Sometimes I get a fifteen minute nap and that is good. Real good.

Or, if I am real lucky and happen to be running about town on work time, I go home for an hour to relax before jumping back on the clock.

Matchmaker- ok one party interested other isn't make a deal ask disinterested person to go out once on a trial basis...if it doesn't work then let it go

or throw a party and have people bring their cameras. then have a "picture scavenger hunt" that involves silly acts like toiletpapering a person. Make sure the two people are on the same team. let nature take it's course

stitches come out today! I'm just hope I get the all clear to have a shower.

How's everyone doing?

I got told to be optimistic about my drugs by the doctor yesterday whilst he simultaneously wrote me a prescription with a list of four more to try in sequence if this one doesn't work. Of course, if it's all a failure then I believe I have officially run out of drug options, which is not something I was really aiming for!

*grabs cup of tea*

I missed the reasoning but my lunch is eaten at my desk, mostly whilst reading to give my brain a break but also, often whilst working as we just get busy sometimes.

better get back to work now I suppose

I was wrong but can walk relatively ok so not too upset but without beeing too gross, the toe is too soggy for stitches to be removed so not coming out till thursday.

Pronlem is that I have to keep the injury dry so can't have shower and have to have baths with one leg hanging out the side and is not making for easy hair washing (I have hair past my shoulders!)

The good news is, mmmmh cookies, I need the calories, I'm healing, also why I'm knackered all the time so work is possible a dumb idea!

Wii overheating is not good! I want star wars, Lego and new one!

Confession time, I made my toe weep for the first time last thursday as I maybe got a little excited playing drums.

Resisting frustration as having seem my toe for the first time since the op, I shall have to put back my hoped start date for sporting type activities. No chance I'm going to be up and running in a fortnight I suspect. Maybe some light weights...

Anyway, I'd better get on with some maths...
