Congratulations Firefly fans for such a huge get out the vote turnout yesterday. I even voted the few times I could yesterday for Firefly and I've been voting mostly for Gunsmoke, Bonanza and Combat! Speaking of which, both Angel (never really watched a lot of Angel but surely love David Boreanaz as Agent Booth) and Combat! are neck and neck for the 250,000 TV Hall of fame, it would be a shame for both shows to have come so far and miss it by maybe a few hundred or thousand votes. So while we vote for Firefly to reach their goal of 750,000 could we all vote Angel and Combat! into the 9th and 10th place in Rich's TVHoF? For those not familiar with Combat! it is a WWII military show that follows a tight knit squad of men on their journey through Europe just after D Day. Many of us oldtimers remember watching Combat! in its original run with our dads who had been there. Thanks to all who take up the challenge and once again a huge congratulations to Firefly for achieving so many goals and setting so many benchmarks for other shows.

I can tell ya, Adam hates missing Dragon*Con. He loves the con, he loves the fans, but, he's gotta work when they call him to. One year he had to cancel, he still made time to fly in and drop by for ONE day, despite the fact that he really didn't have to.

They're all pretty much like that, our Big Damn Heroes. They're some of the shiniest folks in the 'Verse, and they love us as much as we love them.

The missus and I put in 23 total votes on our IP, yesterday (as well as the 11 votes she put in from work), including Bonanza, BSG, Buffy, Jericho, Angel, Babylon 5, Ponderosa, Dark Shadows, Blood Ties, all our friends with whom we share our success. We're on a sprint for the finish, Browncoats! Let's make sure the whole team gets across the finish line!

Dark Shadows is fighting hard to reach 150k, at 4.01 (5.54) days out, EXACTLY on schedule, with no wiggle room. However, with sustained intensified weekday voting, they could still find themselves behind, again! The Barnabas Browncoats were instrumental in helping achieve our unbroken record of 75 consecutive days at 1,000+ daily votes; many thanks to those who are boosting our friends towards their goal!

Babylon 5 is also 3.15 (3.95) days from reaching 200k, just ONE day ahead of the projected end of the Poll! They may be quiet, but the Babylonians have been good friends to us. Let's help get 'em over the finish line!

An estimated 4.88 (5.69) days remain to vote, based on current rates of voting, and Firefly is now THREE days AHEAD of schedule!

Hi guys... long time no see, as usual.
I just got a newsletter from the Surface guy, Justin. The part about it that pissed me off and got me to voting and coming here again:
"Thanks to the idiots at Firefly and other shows who continue to vote for not only their show but loads of others as well,
several valuble days have been cut off that we needed to pass our two
goals."

That, dear Justin, just won't do. So here I am, back in the voting game. For FIREFLY.
I'm not trying to stir up shit against the Nimsters, but I hope this motivates some o'y'all to vote more, too. It worked for me.

This is it. The end. Thanks to the idiots at Firefly and other shows who
continue to vote for not only their show but loads of others as well,
several valuble days have been cut off that we needed to pass our two
goals.
We quitre literally are on track to pass both shows in the last hours of
the poll.
Furthermore, The Pretender's rallying during the last few days has created
a situation where their average hasn't caught up, and they are cutting our
gains on them by half a day each day. We must seriously consider that this
is as far up as we will have time to get.

So, should we just quit? Do Nimsters quit?

I don't think so. Look, the one thing we have going for us is it's Friday.
Traditionally, the weekends are really slow, esp. Friday. While they are
asleep at the switch, we have a chance to gain just enough ground to make
this work...

But only if we vote like never before. If you are having trouble getting to
vote, ask for help right away. Call your friends. Beg them to help. We must
get well over 400 for the next couple of days, so do whatever you have to,
to get it done. This is our last and only chance to show them what the
Surface Tsunami is all about. They'll be lots of other weekends, so it
won't kill anybody to sacrifice a little time and fun to get this done.

So good luck, everybody. I hope to see huge numbers for the next 2 - 3 days
especially. If we don't we are toast.

That from the guy who banned me from the Surface board for objecting to his encouraging the Nimsters to adopt a cheat program. If not for that, I'd still be giving at least some noms to Surface. Nowadays, they all go to Red Dwarf.

And I know I harp on it, but we have achieved what we have with the help of our friends from Bonanza, Battlestar Galactica, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Jericho, Angel, Babylon 5, Ponderosa, Dark Shadows, and Blood Ties, all of whom have contributed to our daily totals, as many of us have to theirs.

We made our recent Highest Daily Vote Total record by a mere 55 votes. We wouldn't have made it at all without our friends. Does sharing our strength with them, as they do with us, make us idiots?

A Browncoat never leaves a friend behind. We prosper as our friends prosper. Together we achieve; apart, we would fail, VOMP!
