The light that burns twice as bright burns half as long, and you have burned so very very brightly, Dark Angel.

You mean like this, Canttakesky?
It's both a miracle and a curse that DA got a second season. A miracle in that the show was so good, it shouldn't have happened. A curse in that changes to the series for it's second squashed a lot of what made the first season so great in favour of kitchy sci-fi elements- less than half of it was on par (or nearly so) with the first.
Thoughts?

Vump ...out of respect for Alba, Goddess of Eternal Erection, er hmm, I mean Perfection.

I think Alba gave the series a particular & charming character, however, I was referring to the show as a whole- it would have been a good one without her in the lead, but it did benefit from her presence, definitely.

Gawd, I got food on my keyboard. And it's all your fault.
Haken needs to throw you off the forum for Dark Angel spam.
So here is THE QUESTION:
If you can get either Dark Angel back on Friday nights, or Firefly, which would you choose?

Firefly, hands down. Dark Angel already proved that they were willing to sacrifice the goodness of the show to chase ratings. Firefly proved that Joss was willing to lose ratings to keep the integrity of his show. :)
I agree with Chris, to a degree - I *LOVED* Dark Angel when it came out, but not long into S2 I just lost interest. It lost me. It got cheesy, it got repetitive, and nothing was really going on.
Just my tuppence...
Mike

DA pretty much told it's tale, maybe a TV movie to wrap stuff up, but another series? No way.
Our BDH's, on the other hand, have more places to go & things to do.

The first season was much better. More wide open with the ensemble cast. The second season focused too much on Logan and Max leaving great characters like Original Cindy to become more 2 dimensional supports for the two leads.

Throw in Jericho and that'd be damn near a perfect lineup.
(Start with TSCC, 'cause it's present-day, then Jericho, then Dark Angel, then Firefly, getting progressively more post-apocalyptic.)
