I don't eat McDonald's. Once, someone said derisively to me, that that must mean I'm no fun to go out with. Personally I find getting drunk and having fun much better than poisoning myself with that tripe...

Well does it really matter. Coca-Cola and McDonalds share just about everything.

If you line-up every french-fry Mac has every fried end to end it would probably span Milky Way.

I suspect Blue Sun is its grand child.

A planeload of Pepsi was flying over the darkest, deepest part of Africa. The engine developed trouble and the plane went down. The Pepsi company sent out a rescue team to find the Pepsi and the crew. The rescuers found the wreckage, but there was no sign of the Pepsi or the crew. Finally they came upon a cannibal village. They asked the chief if he had seen the crew and the Pepsi. The chief said"Yep, we ate the crew and drank the Pepsi." The rescuer said "My gosh, did you eat their arms?""Yep, we ate the arms and washed them down with the Pepsi.""And did you eat their legs?""Yep, we ate their legs and washed them down with the Pepsi."The rescuer then said:"I hate to ask you, but did you eat their--you know--things?" Chief said: "Heck no, Things go better with Coke."

I try not to eat at McDonalds because of what it does to my gut, but I will admit that sometimes I am so on the go and can't stop for a meal and McDonalds is convenient. I sometimes order the fish sandwich or a hamburger happy meal, which is the perfect size and I get a toy too.

You know how they make their fries?
The pulp the potatoes, powder them, ship it & glue it back together with starch in frie-shapes at a factory, then freeze it before cooking. That's why they're only edible right after you get 'em- once they cool down the real cardboardy taste comes through.
Yummie.

Dr Theo Von Panickopolis responds:

Oy vey - we see this terrible affliction often at the clinick (with a K, it's what sets us apart).

Indeed such a thing has tormented the sensitive for centuries.
Pas example: Alexander The Great was known for building city states in an apparently random way -
but on closer reflection we see they ensured the steady supply of young shrimp.

the lost tablets of McGriffin state:
We are all in our own way beholded to the shellfish.

Rising star Alf Bonapart puts it more succinctly when he says
"In Hollywood - it's all about the muscles."

So the question then arises -
why? why this fishy nonsense??

Symbology?

I love just about every shell fish, shrimp, lobster, clams, oysters, and anything else.

I don't much like fast food either, but I do like beef. One thing about he meat I eat though is that my father is an independent meat cutter and cuts up animals for local farmers and some times buys a half of beef or pork from them.

Beef is nasty. I hate all beef products (hamburger especially, but also steak, leather...) The only meat worth eating, in my opinion, is pork. Bacon, ham steaks, ham... yum ^_^ Also, I never eat at McDonalds, I much prefer Arby's... Is one of the best resteraunts in teh world!

also, I'ma gonna test something real quick, as long as I'm here-

EDIT- Nope, didn't work, will have to do it the hard way... *sigh*

I know beef is not the best meat for you, but the worst is how it gets to your plate. I work as a designer of hydraulic equipement and if our factory was run like these meat packing plants OSHA would close use down as a biohazard. The next time they make a movie about a deadly disease contaminating the Earth they could easily start it from one of these plants. These places are on the edge of filth and millions of pounds a beef go through them ever day.

Just read the book Fast Food Nation and hold on tight when you get to the chapter "What's In the Meat". Even the chapter before that gives you a warning as to what is about to come.

God help us.

This is not a problem for me. I know the meat cutter, the butcher who usually does the killing, and I know most of the local farmers so I don't worry about the quality of the meat.

You're lucky Rallem. It would about the only way I would eat beef again. I actually cut down the amount of beef I take in over the last few years. I have learned poultry and fish are about the best meat you can eat. Our human resources department had a guy come in to lecture our entire company on proper diet. Can't say I follow evrything he said. I mean I got to have my chocolate donuts and coffee or I will die.

I fully understand Traveler. I know that I have to eat healthier, and I try, but I also know that no matter what I eat no one gets out of this alive so sometimes I splurge. I fully respect those of us who choose to be vegetarian, because I understand that some people are just different from me and either cannot stand the idea of killing an animal or they choose to be a vegetarian for health reasons. I remember growing up and having to kill chickens for dinner and a few pigs, so I know what it is to have to kill to eat, and I can respect others for not wanting to go through that ordeal, and I am trying to eat more vegetables now to offset my meals, but I don't think I would be able to stop eating meat.

Were carnivorous by nature. We have the teeth for to eat meat with. I gave up hunting. Was not that good at hunting anyway. But I laugh at my sister for ridiculing hunters when she so easily grabs the meat from the grocery store. So eating or hunting is a personal choice.

I've always thought of us as natural omnivores. Sure we have the teath to eat meat but we lack the other weapons of a carnivore like claws. Sure we have large brains to outthink our prey and for the ability to making tools to kill them with, but I saw a show on human evolution and according to it we didn't have the brain power for that until after we started scavenging meat from the kills of other animals, and it was that sudden burst of protein in our diets that allowed our brains to grow into what is now the human brain.

Well, all animals evolve. I saw a show about chimpanzees and a pair actually practice cannibalism. It was surpise to see them ambush one of their own kind and murder it for food. I always thought of apes mainly as vegetarian. But never in my wildest dreams did I think any other mammal, besides us humans, would eat its own kind.

I think dogs will eat their own kind if hungry enough. I don't think they would ever kill their own pack to eat, but wolves and other canine creatures from outside are probably good to go.

That's true. I watch a lot of Public Broadcasting and they have shown programs where wild cats that live in packs will kill for dominance. I don't remember hearing about cannibalism though. It is strange how different species treat each other.

That reminds me I have to get ready for the High Definition TV switch over. I will keep putting it off until I can get a picture anymore. Good old PBS brings up HD turnover quite often and I keep writing down the phone number they supply for refund and loosing it.
