I would commend Karate Kid, for being one of the first to introduce the logic, ethics, discipline, purpose of martial arts into mainstream theater. Before that it was always just "chop suey theater."
And Maggie Q also showed enough in Deception.

not the best movie
but great movie making tricks and edits for a fight scene but this was before CGI and a lot of it is Jackie doing his real thing
