I thought Christ was more a Vampyre than a zombie... But the zombie thing would explain the "eat of my flesh" part...

Support for my Vampyre theory:

Drinking blood (wine is said to become the Blood of Christ)
A cross killed him. Well, that and sunlight. :)
Christ offers eternal life to all those who follow him ("No one lives but through me.")

Ergo, Christ = Vampyre.
