Firsties.

Good to see a new thread.

I am just sitting here watching old episodes of Picket Fences. Forgot how great this show was.

I am debating what DVD series I should buy next.

Someone asked what our wish list would for a set of series DVD's. Do I go with humor like Red Dwarf, action / adventure with Queen of Swords, or intellectual by purchasing The Prisoner. I always put myself in these pickles. Maybe I will write the names of all the DVD's I would like to buy and throw a dart at them and buy the one it hits first. It will take a several of trys. I stink at darts.

We got sleet a week ago. Half rain and half ice. The streets flooded because the drains are all blocked with ice. Oh what fun we are having.

Now it is just cold. We actually moved up from the single digits to ten above.

I just started reading Dune, (I'm halfway through the first book) and I think I'm gonna love it. It's so fresh, and intricate, and lyrical... they don't make 'em like that anymore :-( Plus, there seems to be quite a bit of psychic business going down. So... someone fetch me some spice melange !!!

no problem any time ^_^ I recommend Ilium and Olympos (duology, Ilium comes first of course) only because those were the ones my dad's friend lent me to get me acquainted with the author, he's written a TON though. I liked the two i read, even though they were messed up and hella complicated. If u dont mind ur intelligence being raped and scrambled by the storylines this dude comes up with, definitely a good read.

Dave: I wish you WERE my commander. If I were in charge I'd make it mandatory for every enlistee to watch firefly upon taking their oath, and I would block out at least 1 hour in the day for it to be watched (i'd make it all day, but we DO have important stuff to do :-P like, um, protecting the country lol XD)
