Battle of Du-Khang ideas

In November I posted a thread of trying to make an animated short of FIREFLY. It has been 10 months since then, and I have created some scenery, vehicles,and some generic people. Now i need some ideas on how to put this together. I know I haven't been on the site much lately. I have been studying The Message and the first one Serenity for vehicle descriptions and scenery ideas. Since the ship Serenity wasn't around then, I need some ideas of ships they would have used. Artwork will be posted soon as I get all the textures done. Special thanks to Joss Whedon for creating a great universe.
