I'm proud to announce that starting sometime on 7/25, I'll be taking pre-orders for the awesome new Blue Sun travel posters from QMX at my website, http://www.serenityverse.com/shop

This officially licensed set contains 5 full-color, 17" x 22" prints on 100-pound, satin-finish paper. Included in the set are posters inviting you to travel to historic Serenity Valley, tranquil Miranda, exciting Persephone, beautiful Sihnon and awe-inspiring Londinum.

These would be really cool to get signed at conventions, especially ones like the upcoming Starfury Serenity convention in LA which only allows officially licensed items to be autographed. They also seem like they'd be cool wall art for those who want to display something cool-looking without it being as blanantly fannish as, say, a movie poster. These are quite artsy, if I do say so! :)

Pre-order details: Pre-orders will be open from 7/25/07 to 8/8/07...maybe a little beyond that. I will be offering these for a limited time on my website - they will not be continually in stock. I will be getting in a few extras in, but not many so snag 'em while you can! Especially you international folks who tend to get gouged for shipping.

The Blue Sun Travel Company encourages citizens of the Alliance to explore the many amazing vistas that comprise our proud republic. It's a great big 'Verse full of fabulous sights to see and exotic cultures to experience. Whether you partake in the ancient and noble tea ceremony at the Companion Guild House on Sihnon, behold the awesome canyons of glass and steel on Londinum, enjoy the many distractions of the Gateway District on Persephone, shed a tear for our fallen Alliance heroes at the Monument at Serenity Valley, or be among the first to experience the pure tranquility of Miranda, a multitude of star systems full of unparalleled adventure await you.

And Blue Sun Travel is ready to take you there.

In an effort to help inspire future honored guests, Blue Sun Travel is publishing several art print sets showcasing some of the many locations that we can take you to. In the past you would have only seen prints of this quality adorning the walls of your local Blue Sun Travel office, or proudly displayed in high-traffic areas like Persephone's Eavesdown Docks or along the bustling streets of Beaumonde. But now, thanks to our partnership with fellow Blue Sun subsidiary, Quantum Mechanix Inc., you too can own a set of Blue Sun Travel Posters.

You have the Serenity Valley poster honoring the fallen Alliance soldiers, and a poster for people to visit Miranda, but correct me on this, wasn't Miranda lost well before the final battle at Serenity Valley? Am I wrong here? I only watched the movie a few times but I could have sworn it was before the final battle of Serenity. In which case continuity's wrong.

Oh, just wanted to say, they're very beautiful. Are you working for Uni now as these are official posters?

Working for Uni - I wish :D

Nope, I'm just an authorized reseller for QMX, Quantum Mechanics. www.serenitystuff.com has more details in their blog about 'em too. It was Quantum Mechanics that produced the posters.

That's a good point about Miranda.....if everyone had forgotten it by the era of Serenity the movie, it stands to reason that it wasn't a tourist destination as recently as the end of the war. And if it was the beginning of reavers, well, it seems those have been around a while too.

It just occurred to me - I suppose one could explain the timeline impossibility by calling the Miranda one a "historic" poster - a reproduction, made after Serenity's broadcast reminded people that the planet existed.....
