This is a patch I designed for the Southern Ohio Browncoats (SOBs) from Cincinnati/Dayton Ohio.

I have some extras, and I am looking to trade with other Browncoats abroad who may have something similar (patches, buttons, etc). I will also be at Dragon*Con in Atlanta later this year with patches to trade. I just like to collect things, and with Firefly Fans being some of the most unique and interesting folks around the world, I'd like to collect a bit fandom from around the 'verse.

Additionally, I can sell them US $5 a piece for U.S. or Canadian residents, US $7 a piece for those overseas, and that includes S&H, but I'd prefer to trade. If you are interested, please email me at tenthcrewmember@gmail.com and use the subject SOB PATCHES for your email.

The patch is roughly 3x2.75" making it great for browncoats, hats, purses, backpacks, you name it.

Behind the design:

I started with the basic green, yellow and black design of the patch Mal and company wore in the episode Serenity. I put it in the more traditional inverted triangle and added the border for the SOUTHERN OHIO BROWNCOATS. I then chose the totem that is representative of Cincinnati, having once been the pork capital of the world, the Flying Pig, or as we call it around here, the Fireflying Pig. *g* Then I added CINCINNATI, and dubbed us the 10th division (gee, I wonder why? *g*) but it was still missing something. So, like Mal's patch, which has the inverted star, I put an inverted star on the pig. It is 100% embroidered with an iron-on backing. This design, along with others, was put to a vote among the Southern Ohio Browncoats, and this was the design chosen by them. It is representative of those who are proud to call themselves a Southern Ohio Browncoat. Needless to say, I own several. *g*
