Hey Browncoats!
I just posted this in the Guerilla Marketing section, but it seems apt here, so I'll just paste it:
First, an intro: My name is Austin Wintory. I'm a film, TV and video game composer here in LA. I have some local orchestras looking to collaborate on a project, so I wanted to bring it before you guys ....
How many of my fellow Browncoats live here in Los Angeles? I would love to organize a concert: "The Musical 'Verse of Joss Whedon." Full orchestra, most likely the Golden State Pops Orchestra or maye the Santa Barbara Symphony. I would bring together composers like Chris Beck, Greg Edmonson, Bob Kral, David Newman, etc and make an all-Joss Whedon night featuring the music of Firefly, Serenity, Buffy and Angel.
But I need your help! For those in the area, would this be something you'd want to attend? How much money would you be willing to pay? I'm putting together a pitch, but this concert is for YOU. The more I can say about you the better chance of pulling it off.
Thanks so much guys - damn fine community here ...
-Austin Wintory

I would probably attend, depending on when it was and ticket cost. I could probably get a few people to go, cause I know people who enjoy this sort of thing.

How are ships unlike food?
1. If you try it and don't like it, you don't have to do it again.
2. You can have as much as you want, when you want.
3. Cravings can be very specific.
I mean, hello it's not as if there's 'ship police?
