What are they doing now?

I apologize if this has already been discussed lately, or maybe its time to imagine it once again.
What kind of adventures do you think the crew of Serenity are experiencing post movie events if the 'verse' were happening right now?
Could they possibly return to the kind of life they lead before the events of the film?
How is Zoe coping with the loss of Wash? Would her military/ "warrior woman" background help her recover more easily? Does her relationship with Mal help her get past her loss? I can't help but think everytime she looks at that chair she'll be saddened, but maybe, seeing River in the seat rather than someone totally new, might make things easier. I always thought Zoe cared about River regardless of the added troubles she brought on the ship.
Will Inara and Mal become closer? Would Inara continue as a companion should her and Mal move closer? Would Mal allow her to continue as a companion?
I like to think things have shaped up for them and that they all stay together and become closer. I even think that Jayne feels more apart of/devoted to, this crew and would perhaps have a ton more respect for River and Simon following the events of the film.
Any other conjectures out there?
I thought this would be a fun discussion.

SeanCJ, I think what you asked is a toughie, that no one really knows how to answer. You're asking some pretty big questions, that no one but Joss really knows. And even then...

I will say however, I have a hard time seeing Inara and Mal ever being able to stay together. I think they'll always dance around each other, but their lives were always going in two different directions.
