Ok, I took my first swing at crosover fiction today with a story called "Bad Salvage"........I want to get an opinion out here before I do anything else.....going by strict canon, there are no alien races out here, but strict canon makes the idea of crosover a bit tough to do. What do you think? Do we go beyond Joss's original idea and introduce alien races? Please, i would like to hear everyone's feelings on this.

Simon: "Were there any Feds?"
mal: "No, no Feds, just an honest brawl between folk."

Hmm...well, it's been done before on a couple of occasions inlvoving 'Verse crossovers with Doctor Who, Stargate and other series

Personally, I think it's doable to have aliens show up...but it has to be done the right way. Lots of speculation, plot twists and character moments to show how the BDHs (and humanity by extension) would deal with learning we ain't alone. That and I think it would be mighty interesting to have an alien race pop up to demand "their" planets and moons back (figuring out why they left the star system or galaxy Firefly/Serenity is set in would pose an interesting conundrum)

Literature has shown us some of humanity's greatest achievements; history, some of our greatest failures -- Alun Lewis

I'll beta it for you if you send it my way.

How are ships unlike food?
1. If you try it and don't like it, you don't have to do it again.
2. You can have as much as you want, when you want.
3. Cravings can be very specific.
I mean, hello it's not as if there's 'ship police?
