The Signal has been nominated for the People's Choice Podcast Awards over at podcastawards.com, in the categories "Best Produced", and "Movies and Films". Firefly Talk has been nominated in the "Movies and Films" category.

Firefly Talk and the Signal are friends, not rivals, and we do not want to split the browncoat vote, because if we split the vote, we could end up with neither of us winning anything. So we've got together with Eric from Firefly Talk, and we've come up with a common strategy, which is - vote for the Signal this year, and vote for Firely Talk next year. And it's not just us saying that coz we're the Signal - you'll hear the same thing from Eric himself on Firefly Talk.

And now we need your votes, if we are to win those awards. To win, we need you to vote for us, once every day between July 28th and August 11th inclusive.

So we're asking you to go to www.podcastawards.com, today, tomorrow, and every day until August 11th, and vote for the Signal every single day, in both categories, "Best Produced" and "Movies and Films".

Has anyone told you that we've started up a Browncoat Signal Corps.. a kind of communication device where two crews post news of the 'verse on yahoo groups and forums?

Would you like us to spread the word this final week to encourage voting. We reach a lot of folks.. I dare say not as many as you.. but we work hard at it.

That would be fantastic! I have not heard of The Signal Corp, but would really like to learn more about what you do. It would probably also be good to make sure that the podcast's news department is hooked in to the Signal Corp. You can email me at les@serenityfirefly.com.
