okay. first hi evrybody - i been low key recently - what with work and school and "life" and all.

so here i am cruising the net and i'm reading radiojoe's firefly rpg backround page.

i'm thinking "cool." then it hits me - alot of the content is familiar - i mean really familiar - like I wrote it.

why? well because i DID write much of it... and Talirus wrote much of it as well.

yet as much as it borrows/copies from us and others, it completely lacks our names anywhere on it.

now i make no claim to owning any part of firefly - i'm not citing copyright infringment - but i know for a fact talirus and i spent hours apon hours scraping together our information to be enjoyed by all. not for money - but for the enjoyment of fans like us.

it's really pissy to see someone take the product of our efforts so blatantly and fail to mention or acknowledge that work whatsoever.

so the moral of the story - please use the reference info - we who worked on it WANT you to use it - that is why we did all that work. but it's not right to pass it off as your own. so make a little note that it came from fireflyfans.net so others can find this great source (which radiojoe DID do) but also include the posters - especially when you take thier work word for word.

don't get me wrong... it's not so much that i feel ripped off - but ya know that was a good chunk of my life that could have been wasted in another manner - like this sex that i've been hearing about from people.

anyway - life. ah. trying to find secure and upwardly mobile job in a repressed economy. happy happy joy joy.

so here i am infront of a computer all day long - at least i get "paid" for it. nothing like earning the living wage of 1978. at least i get good benes.

bought me a bike - thats a motorcycle not a schwinn.

getting me my second BA.

appling to grad schools with everyone and thier mother - wow there is alot of competition out there now!

i miss my crappy job in japan.... my apartment was the size of my office cubicle and the work sucked but i was making better money and there was stuff to do... in pittsburgh not so much.

You worked in Japan? Kewl! I was in Japan for the Summer in 91'. One of the most memorable months I'd spent in my life. So what did you do there?

And about the plagerism of the reference info, I wish I could do something about that kind of stuff. It's difficult to police. What I'll do is add a little note on the reference page to tell people to give credit if they use it.

well... alot to respond to.

hey hak how's it shakin? don't worry about the lift o info... i don't expect there to be any policing of it. it's info - it should be free.

i just wanted to post my fustration to let radiojoe know that i caught him.

so my BA - well my first was in japanese language and literature - a truly wise move to major in hummanities i know, but hey.

the one i'm working on is in poli sci - specifically conflict politics - i've always fancied myself a bit of a marxist revolutionary. the plan is to get the ps BA and get a teaching cert for 2ndary education. maybe hit back to japan abit... then get the masters in public and international affairs.

then try to get rich. not very marxist i know but hey. my uncle is a VP for lockheed-martin and get his own corporate jet... i like that.

japan: well i "taught" english - which means that i was a whore. i was a mascot for an english school to try and squeeze the students for more cash and bring in more house wives by being exotic. it sucked - i wanted to teach.

still i miss being "exotic" it's hard for a white kid to be exotic in pennsylvania.

japan is cool tho. it gets on your nerves at times - but it was cool.

well i'm looking at the picture of vera in the new set pics.

looking at the trigger guard and the overall layout - i believe that is a kalishnakov - an AK - not gunna be able to tell if its an AKM or AKR or 47 or a 74. with lots of stuff on it of course.
