Hello to all,

It's most likely that these details have been covered on this board before, but sadly I haven't seen them, and I'm sure you'll forgive me the rehash.

Now, I just finished watching the pilot for like the umpteen millionth time (still jump when Kaylee gets shot... still get a rush from the Reaver chase), and I've noticed a couple things every time, but never really asked about it.

1. When Wash is taking the mule off Serenity at Persephone and tells Zoe to be careful in Chinese, as he rides off, there are gloved hands grabbing the front of the mule. They're pretty discreet, I assume they were there to help pull it off camera as he left (maybe the engine sound was interfering with something?)

2. During the scene were Simon speaks his piece about how River and he got into their current situation in the kitchen: As everyone starts arguing, the subtitles say , but I can hear Jayne say " got a mean streak, you<..> better watch <...>" Anyone have any theories about what he's talking about? (I suspect warning the newcomers about Mal..)

Ya'll keep on being Shiny happy people. Thanks for your time :D

Heh. I was going to reply to say what I thought that line was about (which is basically what you suspected it was about), but then went ahead and checked the shooting script.

Shepherd's got a mean streak. We'd
best walk soft.

Book looks down, ashamed.

I guess that kind of clears up what that's about...
